Induction

Although they look fairly similar to a ceramic cooktop, it’s the way they work that’s unique. Each ‘cooking zone’ (induction coil) on the cooktop generates a magnetic field that induces heat in steel cookware placed on top of it. In essence the saucepan or pot becomes the element, so the cooktop surface doesn't get as hot as other cooktops.

Because most of the heat and energy are produced in the saucepan itself, the heat response is quicker and more efficient. With more conventional electrical cooking, the heat first has to be transferred from the element, through the ceramic and then to the saucepan and its contents.

Cooking results on induction cooktops are exceptional and their performance is fast and efficient. The power settings range from very low to very high and change almost instantaneously when you adjust them. Once you’re used to the different power settings you will achieve excellent cooking results.

Steaming

It's perfect for fresh foods, vacuum packing only takes a couple of minutes! Once you have placed the bag over the vacuum chamber & locked the lid down, air is quickly drawn out & expelled via a powerful pump. Once optimum vacuum is reached (approximately 73%), the bag is then automatically sealed using a non-stick coated heating strip.

The Nespresso system

Miele have a long association with premium coffee manufacturer Nespresso to create a series of automatic coffee makers. Nespresso offers twelve different types of top quality coffee, hermetically sealed in capsules for optimum freshness. The machine can store twenty capsules of five different blends, and the profiles of up to ten regular users can be programmed in to call up their favourite coffee at the press of a button. Miele produce the world’s only built-in Nespresso machine.

Freshly ground coffee every time

For the ultimate in coffee convenience these unique built in coffee makers come either with a water tank or ready for plumbing into the household water supply and have storage tanks for the coffee beans and chilled milk, so coffee production is truly automatic. Just place your cup under the spout, tell the machine what type of coffee you’d like, and away it goes! Even choosing something as complicated as a latte macchiato is not a challenge for this machine – the whole drink with its different layers can be produced by the press of one button.

The beans are ground freshly for every cup and the dynamic brewing unit ensures that the aromas are fully developed. The Miele exclusive insulated milk flask keeps milk fresh for up to 12 hours, and the machine produces perfect foam every time.
